ITS strongly encourages employees to add their Earlham Office Phone as a secondary device for Duo Two-Factor Security.  In the event that you forget or do not have access to your mobile device, using your office phone will allow you to authenticate when in your office.


  1. To add your Earlham Office Phone as a secondary device, go to login.earlham.edu/devices and authenticate using your Earlham username and password along with your primary Duo Two-Factor method.

    Select +Add Another Device

    Choose Landline and click Continue

    Enter your office phone number and check the box to verify it is correct.  Click Continue.

    Once your office phone is saved, it will now appear as a secondary option during the login processFirst, trigger the authentication process by attempting to sign into any Earlham service(Email and theHeart are good examples of one of these services). Once you see the "Check for a Duo Push" pop-up, Select the "Other Options" link.

  2. On the "Other options to log in" screen select the bottom option labeled "Manage Devices"

  3. Select your log in method to verify your identity.

  4. Select Add a device.

  5. Select the device type you wish to add. In this instance, we will be selecting "Phone Number"

6. Enter the phone number of the device in which you want to add and please select the checkbox labeled "This is a landline phone".

7. Your device should now be added for DUO authentications.
